Hot Topic: Scarlet Opus Star Award

Very exciting news today …

Last week we received confirmation that Scarlet Opus will be presenting an exclusive award at this year’s INDEX exhibition in Dubai.

This will be the second Scarlet Opus Star Award we are presenting; the first being at Decorex in September.

We are also extremely excited to announce today, that we have commissioned British glass engraver, Nancy Sutcliffe - who featured on the blog earlier this month, to create the award.  I’ll be meeting with Nancy on Wednesday to look over her initial designs; it’s currently all very exciting in the Scarlet Opus camp!

In June, Victoria met with Lu Buchanan, Event Director at dmg :: events, in London to discuss the show which this year, in celebration of it’s 20th anniversary, promises to be a truly iconic celebration of design incorporating design competitions, industry leading conferences, workshops, live installations and interactive features.  We’re very proud to be getting more involved with the show this year and, as well as the Award, Victoria will be leading a brand new Design Tour, and we’ll be presenting Trend seminars twice daily, which include:

• International Design Trends 2011 – 2012
• International Leisure and Retail Trends – 2010 and beyond
• International Architectural Trends – 2010 and beyond
• Leisure and Retail project in the UAE – 2010 and beyond
